It is time to give thanks! This community worship celebration is arranged by Black Methodist for Church Renewal (BMCR), the caucus for African Americans in the United Methodist Church. This year Grace United Methodist Church will host the worship celebration. The choir and guest preacher will be announced. The Mass Usher Board of Grace UMC will serve. Join us and bring your holiday guests and friends for this soul-stirring start of the holiday season.
To provide family time on Christmas Sunday Morning, Sunday School classes are canceled. Plan to attend worship at 10 a.m. for a special worship celebration. Young children may bring their favorite Christmas toy to worship with them!
Strength for the Journey Los Angeles is held yearly at a retreat facility located near the city of Los Angeles in the Los Angeles National Forest. The retreat planning group, including those who are affected and infected by HIV, seeks to embody the Church's role of compassion and love in this epidemic.
Sunday School at Grace UMCLA Highlights of Sunday School are our annual Easter program and Christmas pageant that feature costumes, drama and song. In addition, there is a promotion exercise to recognize children and youth graduating from elementary, middle, and high school. Sunday School is for life!
Vacation Bible School at Grace UMCLA Vacation Bible School is a week-long Bible Study program for all ages. Traditionally, the program begins with an opening song, prayer and light supper followed by classroom instruction. Classes for children and youth include Bible stories, games and activities.
