Guest Preacher: Dr. Dilys Brooks

Dr. Dilys Brooks, a board-certified chaplain, serves at Loma Linda University as the Campus Chaplain. Chaplain Brooks has a knack for providing spiritual care to the students, faculty, and staff there. She’s compassionate, caring, and dedicated to positively impacting the lives of those she encounters. Chaplain Brooks is a Claremont School of Theology graduate with a Ph.D. in Practical Theology with an emphasis on Spiritual Care and Counseling. She is also a graduate of the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, Andrews University, with a Master of Divinity degree. Dilys also completed several other degrees. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the City University of New York, a Master of Science in Education from Adelphi University, and a Master of Arts in Supervision and Administration from Bank Street College. She is an educator with eleven years of service in Christian and public schools. Chaplain Dilys is also the partner in life and ministry of Dr. Delroy Brooks, associate pastor of the Kansas Avenue SDA Church in Riverside, CA. She is also a proud mom to two incredible humans, Micah and Matea. Family is everything to her, and she cherishes every moment spent with her loved ones. Dilys is an avid gardener who finds solace tending to her plants, cooking, baking, and knitting. Throughout her journey, Dilys finds inspiration in the words “Seek… first… God” from Matthew 6:33. It serves as a guiding principle for her life, reminding her to prioritize her relationship with God above all else.
